In presentation sessions and interactive actions the partners exchanged their experience regarding park & ride, the design of intermodal interchange points, public transport associations and the integration of railways into urban transport. All sessions were accompanied by in-depth information about the current situation in the Budapest region.
Site visits led the participants to good and bad examples of intermodality, park&ride and public transport priority measures in the Eastern Pest area. The last stop was a construction site visit at the Kelenföld section of the Metro 4 project. The site visits visualised the problems which have to be dealt with in order to achieve a better public transport system (e.g. lack of funds for efficient maintenance).
