Metropolitan Region Vienna (12 January 2011, Vienna)
On 12 January 2011 Christian Peer presented the Catch-MR project in the “Volkshochschule Floridsdorf” (Angerer Straße 14, 1210 Vienna), an institution of the city primarily used for post scholastic education of citizens. However it is also available as a venue for various other events such as in this case a local dissemination workshop of the INTERREG IVC Catch-MR project.
Mr. Peer explained the outlines and goals of Catch-MR and specifically referred to the results of the workshop held in Vienna in autumn 2010, and challenges and benefits for the Vienna region associated with the project’s aims. A mixed group of 17 people attended the presentation and afterwards had the chance to discuss the issue. The group was made up of mainly local politicians with functions in the district parliament, district government or the political parties’ district groups. Also representatives of a citizen’s initiative dedicated to transport measures in the area of the “Donaufeld” and citizens who did not state any affiliation with an organization joined the event.
